TOWN COUNCILLOR AND BUSINESS OWNER HONOURED AT CAEP AGM
Harvey Walsh served as CAEP chair for three years
(OLDS, Alberta – January 5, 2016) At the CAEP (Central Alberta Economic Partnership) Fall General Meeting on Thursday November 26, 2015, Harvey Walsh was honored for his 3 year term as chair and his contribution to the economic prosperity of the region. Walsh has acted on behalf of the Town of Olds as a business representative on the CAEP board for the last 16 years. Walsh is very involved in the community and was elected to Town of Olds Council in 2001. As a small business owner in Olds, Harvey Walsh Photography, he has contributed to the economic growth of his community for more than twenty-years. He has served as past President of the Olds Co-op, past Chair of the Public Advisory Committee (PAC) on Economic Services for the Town of Olds, and is a founding member and past President of the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce.
The Central Alberta Economic Partnership Ltd. (CAEP) is a regional economic development alliance consisting of 37 municipal members and 11 associate members. CAEP serves as a model for collaborative community economic development.
The Olds Institute was formed in 2001 by community leaders who realized they could achieve more together than they could apart. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors representing their four founding members and includes members of the community at large.
