At the Central Alberta Economic Partnership’s Achievement Awards the Town Of Olds and the Olds Institute were acknowledged as the Community of the Year for the collaborative efforts of their volunteers and the relationships developed between the Olds Institute’s essential and associate members.
The Chair of the Board of the Olds Institute for Community & Regional Development is pleased to announce the appointment of an Interim Executive Director. Mr. Mitch Thomson will begin his 6 month term position with the Olds Institute on Monday, September 16th.

The fourth annual U of C first year medical student visit to Olds took place on May 31st, 2013. Once again, everyone had a great time touring the first year medical students through the Olds Hospital, Medical Centre, Community Learning Campus, and the Town itself.
On April 16, 2013, the Olds Institute held its Annual General Meeting and Report to the Community. Each volunteer committee, as well as the essential members, presented an annual report that outlined their activities for the year.
